Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to work for free (and you shouldn’t!) and you don’t have to be deeply spiritual in your business for it to be heart-centered. Remember the Three P’s
As you build your new brand, remember the “three P’s” – passion, purpose, and profit. Your passion will fuel your purpose, and because you’re building a business, you’ve got to make sure you’re making a profit too.
Your business brings solutions to people who need your help. As such, it’s important that you are properly compensated for your work. Remember, the exchange of money is simply an energetic exchange, and “profit” isn’t a bad word.
Connect with Your Inner Wisdom
As you navigate this new chapter, spend time with your inner wisdom, intuition, or spirit guides. Ask yourself why you’re making this change and what it means to the people you will positively affect. Spend time journaling about it and be sure to consider the kind of life you want to lead with your brand as a part of it. Remember, your business is a part of your life – not your whole life.
Two More P’s to Consider
While the first three P’s are essential to building a heart-centered brand, you’ve also got to consider the problems your ideal clients are facing and the products you’ll provide to solve them. So what are your clients’ unmet needs? What’s the question they ask themselves all the time?
Then, start designing products or services that answer those needs and questions. That’s when your purpose aligns with a profitable suite of offerings.
Do It For Yourself Too
Remember, building a new holistic and heart-centered brand is an opportunity for you to express yourself. It’s also a chance to fully come into your personal, soulful power. You will learn more about yourself as you build a brand than you can imagine. And the lessons continue throughout your business.
At the same time, you’ll also come out of your chrysalis and be able to stretch your wings as your heart-centered brand grows.
Add Visual Branding
Of course, once you’ve designed your brand, it’s time for one of my favorite parts: the visuals. With a clear idea of who your client is, what she needs, and the ways you solve her problems, you can curate images and video content that support her goals. When you browse images, think about the emotions you want to elicit in your ideal client. Imagine ways to combine images with inspirational, heart-centered quotes – ideally written by you to show your audience who you really are. And, of course, allow your inner wisdom to be your guide.
